Meet The Monsters

  • Faraz Ahmad
One of the most difficult things I've had to get over during my time here is the idea of "can't". This limitation used to dominate every project I ever worked on. Looking at other design work only reinforced the idea that I could never match that level of skill. Three years later, I see now that the biggest difference between "real" designers and myself is that they refused to let "can't" rule their creativity.

  • Emily Anderson
I am a Kingston based graphic design student attending St. Lawrence College. I am currently in my last year of study and am also working with the Department of National Defence creating print and web based designs. Originally from Ottawa, ON, I moved away in order to achieve my goal of becoming a skilled and knowledgeable graphic designer. Over the past three years at St. Lawrence College, I have specialized in creating beautiful and clean work- all with print, web and branding design.
  • Jessica Aucoin
Jessica's favorite colour is yellow. Sometimes she finds it very hard to not put yellow in all of her designs.

"There are 2 things in the world I'm good at...and it's design and taking care of business"
  • Dan D'Alessio
If I had to sum up my experience in the Graphic Design Program at St Lawrence, in three words, it would be: Educational, Inspiring, Uplifting, Jackhammer, Insomnia, Relentless, Pasta G Bread, Weight Gain, Screech Cup, Sad Clown, Kryptonite, and so last paddy's day!
  • Luc Dumais
These things are always a pain to write. If I'm supposed to say something, I would talk about how strange it is to finally be done school. Three years have disappeared in the blink of an eye. The soft glow of a monitor, and last minute panic are all that sustain us.
  • Samantha Gilbert
I enjoy simple layouts, color and transparency. I'm super excited to enter the design world and see what it is like beyond the school world that I'm used to! Time to open new chapters and see what they have to say!

  • Cam Hagreen
Stumbling into Graphic Design was the best mistake I ever made.
  • Rojin Hamid

In this world, you have many talented people, and it's quite difficult to make your mark, but even the smallest of print can take you farther than you could imagine. I strive to make my mark, even if it's in the finest of writing, barely visible, but at least it's there.

"I have been a witness, and these pictures are my testimony. The events I have recorded should not be forgotten and must not be repeated."-James Nachtwey

A legendary unnatural human deviating from the normal character and having the quality or power of creating from originality of thought. Otherwise known as, A Creative Monster!
  • Katie Kortschaga

The last three years have been a lot of work but I wouldn't have it any other way! It has been an awesome experience!

What I love about design is that it's always changing. There is always something new to discover.

  • Kaytie Loucks
During the past three years, I have grown as a designer and a person. I have a passion for modern and colourful designs, with a focus on typography. I am looking forward to furthering my career after graduation in my hometown of Ottawa.
  • Nicolas Lutz
I love solving problems and I enjoy all things visual, which is why I chose to become a Graphic Designer. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of different styles and I try to make every project a unique and different learning experience. My favorite part of being a graphic designer is being able to hold on to something physical that I've made, that a week ago simply didn't exist or looked ugly. I hope to someday break my way into the entertainment industry making movie posters, movie & videogame packaging and rulebooks for tabletop games.
  • Belinda McGee

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.... That's me letting out a huge sigh of relief. After all the late nights, last minute rush, and time away from my family, I'm finally done! As I look back on the last 3 years of school, they just flew by. Had some good times, made some good friends, and learned alot. Now that it's come to a close, I'm stoked to head out there and continue to explore the world of design.
  • Steph Sensenstein
I enjoy negative space, minimal colors and transparency. I'd just like to say, I wouldn't have gotten this far without the support of loved ones, thanks CM. I love being a Graphic Designer, and being able to see my work displayed and admired. Oh, and I still like geeking out with things, like Star Wars, and working outside, and with nature and animals.
  • Angela Simpson
All work and no play! Just kidding. Yes, my three years in the Graphic Design Program at St. Lawrence College have been a lot of work but there was no shortage of fun that's for sure. I am looking forward to what comes next and will continue to inspire and to be inspired.
  • Kael Steinert
  • Amanda Taylor

    Eat. Sleep. Design.

This has been the past 3 years of my life. In the end I learned a lot about the design world and my strengths and weaknesses. For example, I am NOT a fan of web, but I do enjoy book design, poster design and CD packaging. Adding some of my own illustrations in work is also something I like, if it is suitable and I'm feeling inspired!

  • Erin Wattam
Seems like just yesterday..." Well, yesterday might be stretching it, but being on this side of 3 years I've almost forgotten the countless hours spent learning and refining my skills (and just how many of those working hours were at the expense of sleeping ones). Besides the permanent bags under my eyes, there are a few other things I'll keep with me as I timidly venture out into the real world: namely, the banding together of friends and classmates as we all tried to survive our time here, and of course, the instructors and the wisdom and guidance they so willingly gave me. Thanks to everyone that was a part of my time here. I couldn't/wouldn't have done it without you.

  • Meagan Wheaton
Megan Wheaton, living the 90's except without the extreme attitude. More of a left brain than a right brain, would take drawing over html any day of the week. Looking back on it now, school seems such a blur.
